CCBRT conducts training on Kangaroo Mother Care to 25 Health Care Workers in Dar.

From 1st to 5th, August2012 CCBRT in collaboration with Muhimbili National Hospital conducted a five days training to health care providers, aiming at equipping them with skill of defining and categorizing Low Birth Weight, and describing Kangaroo Mother Care.

 The training which was supported by CBM Australia brought together about 25 Health Care Workers from 16 facilities in Dar es Salaam.

Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) is internationally recognized as the best practice which contributes to improve neonatal care and to prevent neonatal deaths of premature babies.
