The disability hospital provides a wide range of affordable curative services to people with visual and physical impairments. It consists of:
CCBRT's Disability Hospital provides voluntary counselling and testing (VCT) for HIV/Aids patients.
CCBRT eye department
Around 75% of people with eye problems in Africa could see again if they were to receive timely quality medical attention and care. CCBRT provides consultations, surgery, follow up, low vision training and low vision devices. CCBRT's Eye Department is a sub-speciality training centre for ophthalmology in Sub-Saharan Africa and develops capacities of other medical institutions to provide quality eye services. more
CCBRT rehabilitation department
CCBRT Disability Hospital is one of the few centres in Tanzania where children with disabilities receive comprehensive rehabilitative services including surgery, tailor made orthopaedic appliances, mobility and positioning devices as well as physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
