training programme

CCBRT offers training and work experience opportunities to national and international applicants from outside the organisation to build human resource capacities in Tanzania and other African countries. Every surgery is regarded as a potential training opportunity.

Included in the trainings are: four paediatric ophthalmic fellowships annually; assistant medical officer training in ophthalmology; short-term MMed traineeships; medical students elective training; training in fistula repair; physiotherapy placements for students; clinical placements in the prosthetic and orthotic department; mobility and orientation training; on-site training of doctors and nurses who attend CCBRT mobile clinics; training on general disability issues.

CCBRT also believes that, by training the caregivers and parents of people with disabilities, we can build capacity at a local level.
